Lesson: Mommy

“I Can Be a Helper”

Story: The Little Red Hen

Activity: Color the “Helping Hands Badge” or make them into stickers.

Song: “When We’re Helping” (Children’s Song Book # 198b)

Activity: Making place mats for each member of the Family and showing how we can help Mom by setting the table for dinner.
To make placemats have a large sheet of paper for each member of your family (I used 12 x 18) and have each member make there own placemat. You can trace around a fork, knife, spoon, plate, cup, and napkin to help the children know how to set the table. You can even put each members picture on their own placemat if you would like. Decorate and laminate with clear contact paper or take it to a copy shop to be laminated.

Closing Song: “A Happy Helper” (Children’s Song Book # 197a)

Closing Prayer: Mommy
